Documents you need for school admission in Punjab
A class-by-class checklist of the documents private schools in Punjab ask for at admission — B-Form, CNIC copies, photos, results and leaving certificates.

Most private schools in Punjab ask for the same core documents, with a few extras as your child moves into higher classes. Keeping copies ready before admissions open means a seat isn’t lost to paperwork.
The core set (every class)
- Child’s B-Form (NADRA Child Registration Certificate) or birth certificate
- Copies of both parents’ CNICs (or the guardian’s)
- Recent passport-size photos of the child — schools usually ask for 2 to 4
- Proof of address, such as a recent utility bill, if the school asks
Playgroup to Prep
For the youngest children, some schools also ask to see the vaccination card. An informal interview or meeting with the child is common; a written test usually is not.
Class 1 and above
- Last result card or progress report
- School leaving certificate from the previous school
- A character certificate if the school requests one
Many schools hold an entry test for Class 1 and above. Ask which subjects it covers and whether there is a test fee.
Changing schools mid-year
Ask your current school for the leaving certificate early — some need a few working days and want all dues cleared first. If you are moving between cities, the new school may also ask for the last term’s results.
Tips that save a trip
- Carry originals plus two sets of photocopies.
- Ask for the full fee breakdown — admission, security, annual charges — before paying the admission fee. Our fee checklist helps.
- Write down the last date for admission and the test date.
Frequently asked
Is a B-Form required for Playgroup admission?
Many private schools accept a birth certificate for the youngest classes and ask for the B-Form once it is made. Check with the school you are applying to.
Can I apply before my child’s result comes out?
Usually yes. Schools often give provisional admission and ask for the result card when it is announced.
